Holy God, Giver of eternal life,
the life we have we live in you.
Hear us as we pray.

We pray for the world’s leaders . . .
May they reject the advice of the wicked
and delight in doing your will.
God of our salvation, answer us with grace.

We pray for your church in every place . . .
May those you call be like trees
planted by streams of water.
God of our salvation, answer us with grace.

We pray for those who have been hurt
by your church . . .
Heal deep resentments
and make us gentle bearers of your love.
God of our salvation, answer us with grace.

We pray for the right use of the earth’s resources . . .
May our children’s children rejoice in your bounty.
God of our salvation, answer us with grace.

We pray for prisoners, for outcasts,
and for those who feel rejected . . .
Enfold them in your arms of love.
God of our salvation, answer us with grace.

We pray for those who suffer any sickness . . .
Make whole their bodies, minds, and sprits.
God of our salvation, answer us with grace.

Holy God, Giver of eternal life,
watch over our ways and hear our prayers
for the sake of Jesus Christ,
crucified and risen,
to whom with you and the Holy Spirit

Blessed is Jesus Christ, our Savior:
You sent Jesus Christ into the world to save us, to sanctify us in the truth.
